Hi everyone!
We made it into Palo Alto last night around 2:30 a.m. but we wanted to share a couple of shots from our drive through the Mojave Desert yesterday. Keep in mind the external thermometer is not spot on 100% of the time but its good to within a degree or two and these temps were taken while doing about 70 through the desert (with the A/C cranked!). And you thought it was hot where you are!

OMG!!!!!!!!! I just sat down to check your blog as sweat is running down my neck & I'm "fanning" myself with a piece of mail....gross, I know. AND it's only like low 70's here & raining (it's 9:24pm on Sun nite). Hot flashes are NOT fun especially in the summer-thinking about going outside & stand in the rain to cool off! But at 125* you guys definitely win the prize and you should kiss Moby's floor boards & tell her "thank you"! Yesterday when Andy called, he was in the Bahamas & just got back to Ft. Lauderdale & was complaining about the HEAT in both locales. I sure hope he sees this post & stops being a baby!
ReplyDeleteChecked the map for Palo Alto & ..."do you know the way to San Jose?" Oh sorry! You guys are probably too young to know that song. Anyway, what's going on in PA? Family or camping? After the cruise thru the desert, hasve the temps gone down any? I hear the big heat wave is supposed to be breaking. Where do you hope to be for the 4th on Thurs--or is it too soon to know? Hope you get to see some fireworks (NO Rob, they're NOT for your birthday! hahaha you used to think that)
Hope you're feeling better, Miriam & you guys get some relief from the heat so you can drive on & ENJOY!
Nite for now...
Love,
Ma
